Here at the new Dance Crazy studios, we offer a great selection of dance classes from Ballroom and Latin, Ballet, Contemporary, Tap and Pole but we are always looking to extend our timetable.
If you think you have a great idea/format for a class then why not give us a call on 01202 557891.
Our fabulous Studio 3 measures 7.5m X 8.5m has a high quality sound system, full length mirrors, a sprung maple floor, lots of natural light and is conveniently located near Bournemouth’s busy town centre.
This professional dance studio is available for hire now so book early to get your required time slots!! We charge £25 per hour but if you want to run a course lasting 6 weeks or more we can offer a significant discount and advertise your classes at the school and on our website!

Salsa Explosion

Here are just a few photos from our fantastic new salsa course run by Enrique Perez from Salsa explosion. These classes are being held every Tuesday evening right up until Christmas with classes for beginners, Intermediate and advanced. The evening kicks off at 8pm and runs through to 1pm with our great team from Umix running the bar. It's worth popping in just for one of their cocktails.

The Launch Party - October 2008

The Dance Crazy Launch Party was a huge success and was attended by old and new friends of the school along with the press and local businesses. Guests were entertained with great dance demonstrations from the students of the school ending with a performance from, Dance Crazy Directors, Simon and Heidi Cruwys. The bar, Umix Ltd,did a great job with keeping everyones glasses full and providing us with our very own cocktails. Hope you tried them all!

Dorset Evening Echo Review - October 2008

Former UK ballroom dance champions Simon and Heidi Cruwys open possibly the South's largest one-stop dance studios in Bournemouth tonight.

The brother and sister, who gave up competitions to establish their Dance Crazy studio in Winton, have moved to new premises on Christchurch Road, Lansdowne.

They cite the popularity of TV's Strictly Come Dancing for the huge rise in people of all ages wanting to learn how to dance.
They are clearly all in good hands with the dance couple who have danced from the age of seven but only partnered each other from their teens.Simon's first dance partner was Boscombe's former world champion dancer and star of Strictly Come Dancing, Karen Hardy.

He was eight and she was seven and they won many junior competitions together. Aged 14, he started dancing competatively with Heidi and in 1996 they won the closed UK professional ballroom championships. In the same year they were invited to South Africa to teach and lecture. Karen Hardy has remained a firm friend and would have loved to be at the dance studio's launch but is unable to make it as she is, of course, competeing with celebrity chef Gary Rhodes in the TV show. Guests will be assured of a VIP greeting however with dance cemonstrations and entertainment laid on.

Variety Club Event - October 2008

Dance Crazy were delighted to be asked to perform at a Variety Club event held at the Pier Theatre, Bournemouth on 22nd October 2008. The charity event was hosted by children's TV presenter Chris Jarvis. The Variety Club posted the following:

Dear Simon and Heidi,

The Variety Club Children's Charity, Wessex Barker Committee, would like to thank you both very much for the fantastic performances that Dance Crazy did at our 'Show on the Pier' on Monday. Thanks to yourselves and the other performers 475 Special Needs children all over the Wessex region had the most fabulous day. The feedback we have received from the children and the schools has been fantastic.

Most of the children that attended not only have problematic disorders of all types but also many of them come from underprivileged backgrounds and would not be able to attend a show such as this if it were not for people like you who are willing to give up their time freely to entertain them.
